Eastside FC is incredibly proud to celebrate the accomplishments of seven players who have been selected to join MLS academies. These opportunities represent the highest level of youth development in the country, and they are a testament to the talent, work ethic, and character these boys have shown throughout their time with our club.
Seven boys from two different Eastside FC teams are departing for three different MLS academies:
B10 ECNL
Max Carmichael (Seattle Sounders FC)
Angel Mora (Seattle Sounders FC)
Satiago Perez-Rios (Seattle Sounders FC)
B11 ECNL
GIan Hurtado (Seattle Sounders FC)
Jude Larbi (Philadelphia Union)
Ian Miller (Portland Timbers)
Alan Mercado (Seattle Sounders FC)
"While it's never easy to say goodbye, we take great pride in having played a role in their journey and in helping prepare them for the next stage. They leave as great examples of what can be achieved through dedication and commitment, and they will always be part of our club family. We’ll be cheering them on every step of the way. We fully embrace this step in the player pathway and believe that when one of our own moves forward, it inspires those who follow. These stories light the way, raising the standard and showing what’s possible. Our club will only grow stronger as more players set their sights higher and pursue similar dreams," said Tom Bialek, Director of Soccer for Eastside FC.
These aren’t the first players to make the leap from Eastside FC to MLS academies and they certainly won’t be the last. As Eastside FC continues to develop top-level talent, there is an excitement for what lies ahead—for our players, our teams, and the future of the game.
