GU14 ECNL Player Marta Odry Selected for US Youth Futsal International Team

Eastside FC GU14 ECNL player Marta Odry has been selected to the US Youth Futsal International Team, earning an opportunity to compete in Lisbon, Portugal, this winter.

Scheduled for December 27, 2026, through January 4, 2027, the trip will include three international matches, training with US Youth Futsal coaches and opportunities to visit and train with local futsal clubs. Team activities and an excursion day will also give players time to build friendships and experience the city together.

Futsal’s smaller playing space and fast pace challenge players to think quickly, work in tight spaces and stay involved on both sides of the ball. For Marta, the trip offers a chance to test herself in a new environment while learning alongside players from across the country.

“Marta has earned an exciting opportunity to challenge herself and keep growing as a player. Competing internationally and learning from different coaches and opponents will give her experiences she can bring back to her team at Eastside,” said Tim Reynolds, Girls ECNL Director and Marta’s coach.

The selection also opens the door to experiences beyond competition, from meeting new teammates to seeing how the game is played in another country.

“I’m so excited and grateful to have been selected to represent the US for the second year in a row! It’s an amazing opportunity to meet talented teammates from all over the country, make new friends, and visit countries like Argentina last year and Portugal this year where futsal is very competitive. I can’t wait to get out there and do my best!”
