Youth Leadership Academy

Program Overview

The Leadership Academy at EFC has been created to give our players more than just an on-field experience. Through leadership we allow our members to grow in areas such as; what makes a great leader, how to communicate effectively, and leading as a referee and coach. In addition to classroom sessions, players will have the opportunity to work alongside EFC coaches on the field and finish the course by completing a coaching badge*.

*Coaching credentials will only be available to participants 16 years and older, per US Soccer regulations. To participate in the Leadership Academy you do not need to be 16, the program is open to U15s and above.

Program Goals

Players will develop skills such as; pulling a team together, organizing a group, setting goals, creating a plan of action, how to be a positive force when things go wrong, learning effective ways to draw out the most from your team and leading by example. Most importantly, players will learn to lead with confidence.

All aspects of our Leadership Academy are rooted in our club values: Integrity, Respect, Teamwork, Commitment, and Transparency.
