Leadership
Academy
The Eastside FC Leadership Academy is a application-based seasonal program offered to boys in the Fall and girls in the Spring.
Leadership Academy was created to give our U15 and above players more than just on-field experience. The program focuses on attributes that make great leaders, effective communication, and leading as a referee and coach. In addition to classroom sessions, players will have the opportunity to work alongside EFC coaches on the field to complete the course and earn a coaching badge*.
Applications are closed for the current season.

Communication and confidence
Coaching and mentoring skills
Responsibility and accountability
*Coaching credentials will only be available to participants 16 years and older, per US Soccer regulations.

Thirty players are selected each year.
Fifteen boys and fifteen girls are selected from a competitive pool of applicants for each Leadership Academy class. Throughout the program, participants take part in a combination of on-field and classroom sessions focused on leadership, coaching and working with some of Eastside FC’s youngest players. You’ll also see our Leadership Academy participants putting those skills into practice through programs like Juniors and Teks.

Program Goals
Players will learn skills they can use to pull a team together, organize a group, set goals, create a plan of action, as well as how to be a positive force when things go wrong, effective tools to draw out the most from your team, and how to lead by example. Most importantly, players will learn to lead with confidence.
All aspects of our Leadership Academy are rooted in our club values: Integrity, Respect, Teamwork, Commitment, and Transparency.
