Eastside FC Announces New Executive Leadership Structure

Over the past year, the Eastside FC Board of Directors has been evaluating the leadership structure needed to support the club’s continued growth and long-term future.
Today, we are pleased to share the outcome of that work: a new executive leadership structure designed to provide Eastside FC with greater organizational capacity, clearer areas of responsibility, and stronger support for our players, families, coaches, and staff.
As part of this structure, Chance Fry will transition into the newly created role of Executive Director of Development, Jeff Betts has been named Executive Director of Operations, and Tom Bialek will continue as Executive Director of Soccer. Each role has a clearly defined area of responsibility, allowing our executive leaders to focus on their respective areas of expertise while working together on priorities that span the club.
For our players and families, the foundation of Eastside FC remains unchanged.
Our mission, our commitment to player development, and our belief in Building Champions in Life continue to guide the club.

Chance Fry
Executive Director of Development
For nearly 25 years, Chance has been one of the central figures in the growth and development of Eastside FC.
His knowledge of the club, relationships throughout the soccer community, and commitment to Eastside FC have helped shape the organization we know today.
In his new role, Chance will focus his experience and relationships on expanding Eastside FC’s resources and community impact. His responsibilities will include sponsorships and strategic partnerships, fundraising, revenue development, community engagement, and other initiatives that can strengthen the club and create new opportunities for our players and families.
This new role allows Chance to focus more deeply on areas where his relationships, institutional knowledge, and experience can have a significant long-term impact.

Jeff Betts
Executive Director of Operations
Jeff joined Eastside FC last year as a coach and brings extensive business and leadership experience, along with a background as a professional soccer player.
In his new role, he will lead the club’s organizational operations, staff, systems, strategic planning, and efforts to strengthen overall organizational effectiveness.
His focus will be on growing a strong, well-run organization that provides our staff and coaches with the systems, support, and resources they need to succeed while continually improving the experience we provide our players and families.
Jeff currently coaches two Eastside FC high-school-age teams and will continue coaching both teams during this transition and through the conclusion of their league seasons in February, while beginning his new executive responsibilities.
New Executive Structure
Chance, Jeff, and Tom form a leadership triad designed to take us into the future. Tom will continue working closely with the club’s coaching directors and staff to ensure that Eastside FC provides a high-quality developmental environment for players and coaches at every level.
In summary,
Chance will lead how we build the resources, relationships, and opportunities that support our future.
Jeff will lead how we operate, support our people, and strengthen the organization.
Tom will lead how we develop players, coaches, and the soccer program.
These clearly defined responsibilities are intended to create greater accountability within each area of the club while ensuring that decisions affecting the broader organization are made collaboratively and with Eastside FC’s overall mission and priorities in mind.
What is evolving is the organization behind that experience.
This leadership structure will strengthen our ability to plan for the future, support our coaches and staff, improve organizational systems and operations, develop stronger community and business partnerships, and continue investing in the player and family experience. Over the coming months Chance, Jeff, and Tom will work closely together as the new structure takes shape. Jeff will spend significant time listening and learning across the organization, Chance will begin building out the club’s expanded development and community efforts, and Tom will continue leading the club’s soccer program and coaching organization.
Please join the Board of Directors in welcoming Chance and Jeff into their new roles and recognizing Tom’s continued leadership of our soccer program. We are excited about the next chapter of Eastside FC and the opportunity to continue building a stronger club for the generations of players and families ahead.
Sincerely,
Eastside FC Board of Directors
