Helpful resources
Recruits evaluate schools across four dimensions: athletic, academic, cultural and financial.
Finding the right college is about more than finding a soccer program that wants you. The best fit brings together the level and opportunity you want as a player, the academic experience you need, the campus environment where you can see yourself thriving, and a financial path that works for your family. Evaluating schools through all four dimensions helps players build a more realistic list and make better decisions throughout the recruiting process.
Athletic Fit
Is this the right soccer environment for me? Consider the level of play, roster depth, positional needs, coaching style, playing opportunity, development environment and how realistically you fit into the program.
Academic Fit
Does the school support what I want academically and professionally? Look at majors, academic rigor, admissions standards, class size, support for student-athletes and opportunities beyond the classroom.
Cultural Fit
Can I see myself living and belonging here for four years? Think about location, campus size, student life, school atmosphere, geography, climate and the people surrounding the program.
Financial Fit
Is this a realistic financial option for my family? The published tuition price is only one part of the equation. Consider athletic aid, academic merit, need-based aid, housing, travel and the actual net cost of attendance.
