Eastside FC is proud to share that Coach Tariq Walcott is expanding his role with our sister EYSA club, Issaquah FC, where he will officially step in as their new Technical Director.
Importantly, Tariq will continue coaching at Eastside FC, where he is one of our top leaders on the field, ensuring that our players will keep benefiting from his leadership, experience, and passion for the game.
"Tariq's formalized role with IFC will help to strengthen their already strong player pool by proving a consistent platform. Every kid, whether playing rec, select or premier, deserves that. It also builds on an already great relationship between our two clubs." – Tom Bialek, Director of Soccer, Eastside FC
This move reflects the long-standing partnership between Issaquah FC (rec and select soccer) and Eastside FC (premier soccer). Our clubs have worked closely together for many years, from collaboration and coordination during tryouts to supporting players as they move between Select and Premier.
Tariq’s expanded role is the latest step in strengthening that relationship and building a clear pathway for player development across EYSA.
"I am excited to continue working with Issaquah FC in a more direct manner through this role. The relationship between the clubs is important for the greater success of football in the EYSA; by continuing to work at each club I will be able to transfer as much knowledge as I can from each, to support them both. Much appreciation to EFC and IFC for supporting my coaching journey!" added Tariq Walcott

For the past 14 months, Tariq has supported Issaquah FC as a liaison and coach, and now he’ll be formalizing that position to help guide their on-field development from Recreational to Select.
“Partnering with a top-tier premier club like Eastside FC allows Issaquah FC to stay focused on optimizing our Rec and Club Select programs." said Kelly Galloway, Issaquah FC Executive Director. "We’re grateful that EFC is sharing Tariq’s expertise as we continue to strengthen the collaboration between our clubs and support our local youth and wonderful community of volunteers.”

This summer, his B12 ECNL team advanced to the National Semifinals of the ECNL National Playoffs, an outstanding accomplishment that reflects his dedication and ability to compete on the national stage.
Tariq's coaching background includes:
USSF B Coaching License
Coaching experience with Eastside FC, WA Youth Soccer EPD, and Seattle Sounders Academy
