The June 15th Contact Period

A key date that shapes the recruiting calendar.

Why is this important?

June 15th is a key date in the soccer recruiting calendar because it’s the first day NCAA Division I and II college coaches are allowed to directly contact rising juniors. This includes phone calls, emails, texts, and private messages, which means athletes start hearing from programs that may be interested in them. For players, it marks a turning point where the recruiting process becomes more personal and direct, rather than going only through club or high school coaches. It’s often seen as the official “kickoff” to serious college recruitment conversations.
