Tariq Walcott is originally from Silver Spring, Maryland. He started his coaching career in 2012 at West Virginia University, studying Athletic Coaching Education with a minor in Sport and Exercise Psychology. Tariq is currently a USSF National B License coach.

While attending university Tariq played soccer for the Men’s Club team while also assisting with the Women’s Club team. He coached at a local youth soccer club called Mountaineer United SC as well, where he worked with players at all age groups as an assistant coach and a player coach.

Tariq works with the WA Youth Soccer EPD Program and the Seattle Sounders Futures program during his off days from EFC to continue developing as a coach in different environments.

Fun facts about Tariq: His parents are from Jamaica, his favorite soccer club is Chelsea FC, and he has a Catahoula Hound named Oscar!
