About Coach

Orlando

Coach Neto brings a well-rounded background in playing, training, and developing the game at multiple levels. Inspired by 2002 FIFA World Cup—particularly Brazil national football team’s championship run—Neto developed a deep passion for soccer that continues to shape his approach today.

A former player at Seattle University, Neto was part of a Western Athletic Conference championship team and continued his career competing in the NPSL and the U.S. Open Cup with FC Motown. He has also trained in professional environments with organizations such as Seattle Sounders FC, New York Red Bulls, and New York Cosmos, gaining valuable insight into elite-level standards.

Neto brings that experience into his work with players, where his philosophy centers on creating “serious fun”—an environment where players learn to enjoy competing, improving, and growing together. He emphasizes technical development as the foundation for confidence and creativity on the field. A holder of U.S. Soccer grassroots licenses, Neto has also served as a Graduate Assistant Coach with the Seattle University men’s soccer program, further developing his coaching expertise under mentors like Nathan Daligcon and Vince Volpe.

Outside of soccer, Neto enjoys spending time in the outdoors, with a passion for hiking, backpacking, and snowboarding. He comes from a close-knit family with three sisters and is a proud pet owner of two cats. A lifelong fan of FC Barcelona, Neto continues to draw inspiration from the global game as he helps develop the next generation of players.
