Nick, raised in Issaquah, Washington, was introduced to soccer at a young age by his Mexican father who grew up playing the sport in Mexico. His true passion for soccer was ignited during the 2018 World Cup while visiting Paris, where he experienced the energy and global atmosphere of the game. Starting later than many of his peers, Nick began playing competitive soccer at 12 years old. His rapid development was fueled by relentless work ethic and determination, allowing him to quickly rise at the club level.

Nick started his club career with ISC Gunners as a Winger. Within a year, he earned a promotion to the top team and was named captain. During his time with Gunners, he led his team to two Washington Cup championships while continuing to develop as both a player and leader. He later moved to Eastside FC in 2022, where he played at the ECRL level under Eastside FC coach Tariq as a right back and reached three consecutive finals in his first year. Nick also played four years of high school soccer at Issaquah High School from 2021-2025 before injuries cut his playing career short.

Nick’s coaching journey began at just 13 years old, assisting with U8 winter academy programs and gaining early experience working with young players. His passion for the game naturally transitioned into a passion for coaching where he continued that path through the Eastside FC Internship Program and is working toward earning his U.S. Soccer D License during the fall.

Nick’s coaching philosophy is centered around passion, work ethic, and continuous improvement. Having experienced firsthand what it takes to develop as a late starter, he emphasizes effort, resilience, and helping players grow both on and off the field. He creates environments where players are motivated, confident, and always striving to improve.

Outside of coaching, Nick spends a lot of his time watching soccer at all levels. He is a fan of FC Barcelona and Liverpool FC and brings that same passion and energy into every session.

Nick’s dedication to the game and commitment to developing the next generation make him a valuable part of the coaching staff.
