Alma Mana’o grew up in Woodinville, WA and played for top WYS clubs, including Eastside in her youth. She attended Inglemoor HS and was varsity captain. She was a part of the WA State ODP team until becoming a starter for the American Samoa Women's Senior National team. Mana’o represented America Samoa in the 2011 South Pacific Games in New Caledonia, a 2012 FIFA World Cup qualifier. After a successful time at Everett CC, boasting a record of 2x North Region Champions, Conference Champions and scoring the title winning goal; she continued playing at CUNY Queens College while studying film & media studies. Her next FIFA World Cup qualification, as co-captain, Mana’o was joined by her two younger sisters and cousin for the 2018 OFC Women’s Nation Cup in Fiji. She currently is the most cap’d player for the country and continues to play semi-pro both outdoor and indoor outside of national and coaching commitments.

Mana’o currently holds a USSF “D” coaching license. When not coaching, Alma is also an artist and film editor, and spends her spare time creating art, skiing, hiking, dancing, or adventuring to new places with her tiny pup, Totti.
