Summer is coming to an end. With the start of school, the girls' high school season, and cooler weather, Fall signals its start with the RCL and ECNL seasons kicking off in early September.
"The summer season saw many Eastside teams travel to FWR in Boise and Utah, attend Surf Cup and other out of state tournaments, and a few even traveled abroad to Spain and Brazil," said Coaching Director, Tom Bialek. "In addition to having a great time on the field, the summer season also saw many teams having great off the field team events. The friendships formed during these times will last well beyond the players time together on the field, and will help them have more unity during the season."
Preston Park now sees its weekends full of home games as the competition heats up with visiting clubs from around Washington visiting the valley.
"With the start of school, and the fall season, it is nice to have everyone back in town on a consistent basis. Having the full team available at practices really helps the team get back into a rhythm. The soccer environment should be a great reprieve from the many demands in the lives of the players - so make sure to remind your player to enjoy themselves every time they step on the field!"
As we say goodbye to summer, let's take a look back at photos submitted to Eastside during the summer season.
