The Media team at Eastside FC will be holding a 2.5-hour course on sports photography this Sunday, August 18th. The course will be split into two sections: a 90-minute classroom session, and a 60-minute field session at Preston Park.
"The goal of the course is to teach the basics of shooting players on a soccer field and helping DSLR shooters get better images," says Media and Communications Director, Aaron Libed. "Shooting pictures of kids moving around takes a different set of skills than shooting other types of photos."
The course will be held at the Eastside Facilities. The first ninety minutes will be in the classroom learning the exposure triangle, proper framing techniques, understanding and navigating a camera, troubleshooting, and what makes a great sports photo. In the second session, photographers will have the opportunity to practice techniques and have the opportunity to shoot a team at Preston. The EFC Media Team will answer questions, help with camera settings, and assist students on the field. Here are the course specifics:
Sunday, August 18
4:00pm-5:30pm: Classroom Instruction at Eastside Offices (upstairs from Futsal Center)
5:30pm-6:30pm: Field Session at Preston Park
The course is open to all interested Eastside players and family members. All attendees must have their own DSLR or mirrorless camera and lenses. For more information please email the EFC Media team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
