Born and grew up in Belgrade, Serbia. Have two older brothers (Dusan and Ivan) so playing soccer was always challenging which, I believe helped me become better. I was spotted at one field in my neighbourhood while playing with friends by one of the scouts and joined youth academy of Red Star Belgrade. In 2005 opportunity came to move to USA and study at Park University, Kansas City. It was an amazing experience. After graduating I played outdoor in Serbia for 3 seasons for the club called Lokomotiva, Belgrade. In 2012 I moved back to Kansas City to join Kansas City Comets (Indoor Soccer). I played there for 6 seasons until joining Tacoma Stars in November 2018.
While I was at college (2006) one of my friends asked me to cover a coaching session for him. I have never coached before that day. I spoke very little English and I remember that session was extremely challenging. However, I fall in love with coaching and was involved with it ever since.
Coached youth soccer for over 10 years and 4 years at professional level. Currently hold UEFA B and USSF C Coaching licence
2015 NWSL Championship with FC Kansas City
2018 NWSL Play-off with Reign FC
Married to Jovana Ivanovic and have daughter Lenka (4) and son Vukan (2). Love to travel, hike and spend time in nature. Favourite team is Red Star Belgrade
