Texas raised, Austin made; a true Texan who’s passionate about the environment I grew in taking away skills and knowledge from multiple sports and coaches throughout my life that has formed who I am today as a person, athlete, and coach. I played with the ’87 Austin Flyers Team 1997-2005, nationally top 25 team throughout our last 4 years. Being in a dog eat dog competitive area of sports in the nation has provided me a foundation of discipline, patience, self-awareness, and a blue-collar work ethic that I try to instill in my players I work with. The current assistant coach and academy technical coordinator at Orlando City Bobby Murphy impacted me the most and influenced me to become a coach.
I’ve been working in youth soccer in Austin, TX with Lonestar Soccer Club from 2010-2017 and have proudly been a part of Eastside FC for the past 2 years as I continue my journey as a coach. I work with both boys and girls programs at multiple levels of play being able to develop and promote players to higher levels of play. In 2011 I led the LSC 02G White B team to a South Texas State Championship along with leading the LSC 05B Black Sth team to a finalist finish in 2017. I currently possess U.S.S.F. National ‘B’ and Youth licenses.
When I’m away from soccer you can find me playing basketball, golf, handball (National champion 2007, runner-up 2010), and video games (Blockbuster State Champion 1994, 33rd Nationally). Proud supporter of Wisconsin Badgers, Oklahoma Sooners, Texas A&M, and Alabama in collegiate sports, Patriots and Saints in the NFL, Lakers and Spurs in the NBA, Whitesox in the MLB, along with the Blackhawks and Lightning in the NHL. Since moving to Seattle I’ve slowly been working on my snowboarding skills when life allows me to hit up the mountains and in the past 6 years I’ve shifted my focus towards marathons posting a P.R. 3:05:09 in Phoenix.
