Outdoor sports: Studies still support that soccer played outdoors remains a low-risk activity but it is advised to minimize social interactions before and after practice or games.  It is not mandatory for the team to quarantine if an individual who attends training tests positive.

Travel: For teams traveling to tournaments in early January, we are in contact with tournament organizers and monitoring closely for any changes.  As we all know, there is a certain amount of risk in all walks of life at this time and everyone has the autonomy to choose whether or not to participate.  The club currently allows the trip style to be at the discretion of each team.   Below are the ways that our teams travel, which we can do as safely as possible, if we follow all guidelines and safety measures available.

In all travel scenarios, great emphasis needs to be made on masking during transportation and when indoors, having all team meetings outdoors, and providing all meals as ‘take-out/pick-up’.  Additionally, ALL players present on the trip need to have someone responsible for them if, in the unlikely case, they come down sick with Covid during the trip and cannot travel home.  Obviously, if parents are traveling with their child then they will stay to take care of them.  If a player is traveling without a parent, an adult chaperone on the trip must be committed to stay with them if that need became necessary, until that players parent could arrive and take their place.  If the chaperone decided to stay with the player, that would be decided between the families. Any family can choose to have their child participate, or opt out of playing, of any event if desired.
